All solutions must be 127mm x 127mm and mounted on a 254mm x 254mm middle gray board. Center the smaller square on the board. Execute all drawings in pencil. Carefully scan or photograph your work and size each image to 360 x 360 pixels and upload it to your directory on the server. Name each file the number of the problem, substituting underscores for periods and save as the highest quality .jpg format (e.g. the image for problem 1.2 will have the name 1_2.jpg.) Have your work neatly organized on the wall before the critique begins at 10:00.
Draw your object from the front and side. Two representations in the same space. Disregard perspective. Concentrate on the details.
Draw your object within a perspective space. Give it mass through modulating the qualities of the lines. Carefully decide the object's orientation and location on the page.
Draw your object again, but carefully select a distinct orientation and location on the page. Concentrate on defining the mass through shading and texture, rather than lines.
Take your object apart. Arrange the elements into a composition and render the image. Carefully place your composition within the frame. If you can't take your object apart, create a unique composition using elements related to it.
